George “Babe” Bratcher and Sarah Cox despite the circumstances which surrounded them,  realized the need to instill in their children principles that would keep them through the hard times as well as the good times; principles of love hope and the need for a right relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. They not only instilled these principles throughout their own lives, but would encourage their nine children and then through the fruit which their children bore and their children's children for generations to come –principles that caused them to move forward regardless of what they faced, and provide a better life for their children. Even though most of the children have now passed on, those same principles of love, hope and the need of salvation is still alive in us today.

Today, as we have turned our thoughts back in time, remembering our childhood, our parents and grandparents, the principles that have been propelled from generation to generation, let us not cease to keep them alive with all the force of their inception, producing strong and proud men and women, still encouraging, still loving, still setting examples and still being that "anchor of hope" which binds us together as a family.

The success of family gatherings emerges from those same elements that make a successful family: the willingness to fellowship together, offering one's own strengths for the common good, inclusion of all the members, and as always, a healthy sense of humor.

It is an ongoing effort to bring our families together.  When it comes to communicating with our family, the telephone remains integral. We call “when a new baby is born”, we call to say “a loved one has gone home to be with our Lord”, we call “just to gossip”, we call to say” happy birthday”, and we call to say “that Sunday dinner is at Grandma’s house around 1:30”.  We also call to laugh together, cry together, to say, “I love you” or simply say “hello.” More than any other form of communication, the “Family Reunion” serves as a tremendous catalyst for strengthening family bonds.

We are “Blessed by the Best, Now We Are Passing It On!"  It is always a blessing to celebrate this remarkable effort to strengthen our families.  Join us for a few hugs, a lot of laughs and a treasure chest full of sacred family memories!!!!

May GOD Bless You!

Family is the greatest and strongest institution of mankind!
